Small garden transformation
Complete transformation of a small residential garden
My clients had lived in their house for three years, but rarely used the existing, poorly designed garden, which had an awkward slope and was prone to becoming waterlogged in the winter. As a busy family with teenage children, they wanted a grown up, well-designed, dog-friendly space that they could use as an extension of the house, maximising the sunny areas of the garden.
We levelled out the incline by creating raised beds at the back of the garden and including a feature gabion wall behind the much-needed seating area.
The result is a crisp design with warm tones and generous planting to soften the edges of the hard-landscaping. The patio placement makes the most of the sun from spring right through to autumn.
